The idea behind the children's hotel Muchetta

• The child experiences a loving and familiar atmosphere based on security and trust.
• The child can evolve and develop its personality.
• The child can make contacts and find friends.
• The child can interact creatively with its surroundings by experiencing, exploring and valuing its environment.
• We take the child's basic requirements, wishes and fears seriously. 

In so doing, the child finds the time, space and material in order to act out its needs.

• We want the child to be accepted with its personality and uniqueness, and to be perceived individually, appropriate to its age and comprehensively in its development. We want to further the child where possible.
• Independence is furthered by showing how to do something, encouraging, repeating, supporting, praising and through patience (e.g. dressing, undressing, tying shoes, puzzles, crafts, etc.).
• Furthermore, independence is furthered by allowing children to carry out certain conflict situation by themselves, without our interference each and every time.
• The child learns about rules and boundaries and learns to respect these.
• By offering children a structured daily programme with sufficient variety regarding activities and quiet time we give them a feeling of security.

A friendly and open-minded disposition helps to create a pleasant working atmosphere and promotes a sense of community. A sense of responsibility, flexibility, proactiveness and goal-oriented work of all caregivers ensure that the pedagogic aims are reached. Each staff member is required to independently organise her work, set priorities, observe and, if required, inform co-workers in her sphere of competence.

In order for the child to feel at home with us, good contacts and an open communication between the parents and the caregivers are indispensable. The basis for cooperation is the check list completed by the parents (toddlers). If the parents so wish, we will be happy to provide them with daily feedback regarding the childcare hours.

The facilities correspond to the children's requirements.

The furniture and toys are appropriate for children, comply with safety requirements and are periodically examined for deficiencies.

Clear boundaries and rules have been determined, which apply to all children. However, the children's personal freedom is only restricted where this is absolutely necessary. Guided activities and independent play alternate. The child is also allowed to withdraw. A special focus is placed on activities and games outside and in nature. During the summer high season, family excursions are an important part of the caregiving offer.

The children are cared for in mixed-age groups. In the event of difficulties the parents are contacted and a solution is jointly sought. Moreover, the duration of the period of acclimatisation is determined in agreement with the parents and the behaviour of the child. The rhythm of the toddler determines the sleeping and eating times. In the case of the older children, importance is placed on a regular and clearly structured daily programme. The older children eat their lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant. The younger ones are fed in the nursery.

We can give parents feedback on the behaviour of their child at any time. For this reaon, we write a daily report on our caregiving work as well as on the comportment and wellbeing of the children.
