is open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
A postomat is located at the counter.

Volg store
The village store offers fresh products and groceries as well as indispensable articles such as diapers, milk powder for babies, magazines, toiletries, etc.

Sports store
At Albula Sport you can rent ski equipment and ice skates during the winter season. Hans and Ursina Jud also offer a range of sports fashion. www.albulasport.ch

Medical care
is excellent. In an emergency you can contact the District Hospital in Davos around the clock, which offers an excellent 24-hour emergency service. If required, a paediatrician or gynaecologist will be consulted. Family man and general practitioner Dr. Peter Keller has a doctor's office in Alvaneu Dorf (7 min.).

Thanks to its central location in the canton of Grisons, Wiesen is easily reached from the lowlands and at the same time an ideal point of departure to see a variety of attractions throughout Grisons.
The town itself offers - apart from an intact and wildly romantic natural landscape - many sights to see which all have their own appeal during the different seasons.

Wiesner Alp
A wonderful mountain pasture hut with breathtaking panorama views onto the heart of Parc Ela and its many well preserved sun-browned wooden stables and huts, some of which has been converted to weekend cabins. A large fire destroyed 14 huts in November 2007; however, they will be rebuilt.

Wiesner viaduct
The imposing railway viaduct along the Filisur-Davos line is 88 metres high and the highest and largest viaduct throughout the Rhätische Bahn?s railway network. It is a part of the nature trail and accessible via a secured foot path.

Zügen gorge
It used to be the cantonal road and connecting path to the region to Davos. The wildly romantic gorge boasts many surprising railway constructions of the RhB line, a signalled rock nature trail as well as a mining museum at Schmelzboden.

Wiesen church
The late gothic church has beautiful mural paintings in the nave and a well preserved organ and is definitely worth a visit.

Wiesen village museum
The village museum is located in the house "süessa Wichel" on Obergass. The exhibition at the local history museum boasts an authentic Wiesen farmhouse parlour with rooms, kitchen and weaving room of the 19th century as well as interesting rotating exhibitions.

Proven by medical studies
The small mountain village is located on a sun terrace and popular for its mild and dry climate. It offers the ideal environment for a successful cure or sustained prevention. The annual amount of precipitation in Wiesen equals about two-thirds of that in Zurich. The concurrence of this low amount of precipitation and lots of sunshine results in the fact that the relative humidity is low.

The climate is very mild as a result of the combination of the south-east exposition of the town on a sun terrace overlooking the Landwasser gorge and the elevation of 1450 metres above sea level.

For over 130 years, researchers have monitored the climate and air quality at Wiesen and have documented the local climate in various reports and studies.

• For years, the entire children's hotel Muchetta has been non-smoking. Cigarette breaks can be taken on the terrace of the restaurant and there is an ashtray on every balcony.
• Similar to a kindergarten or a school, we do NOT care for sick children. Children are ill if they have a fever or gastrointestinal complaints. In this case, we require the parents to care to the child. Good, open communication in the event of illnesses helps avoid spreading diseases.
• Pets are not allowed at Muchetta. As a result of the good climate, an increasing number of children with asthma or other breathing difficulties and allergies are spending their holidays with us.
• Wellness: the entire wellness area is reserved for adults from 6:30 p.m. The use of the sauna and steam bath is also reserved for the adults.
• The children's hotel has an informal and very child-friendly atmosphere. We abide by the most important rules for living together, are careful and take consideration of others.
